BTA instructors are elite and extremely knowledgeable. Whether you’re taking tumbling / gymnastics classes, part of the cheerleading program or training in private lessons, they will connect with you and push you to achieve your goals, making sure you’re having a lot of fun along the way!
I first fell in love with gymnastics at age 5 while living in Swampscott MA and training at a local YMCA. In my teen years, I trained in St. Charles Illinois and Alpharetta Georgia. It was a difficult transition moving from my hometown and gymnastics was my outlet. But it wasn’t the sport that inspired me, it was my instructors and the special relationships I built with my teammates. I moved back to Swampscott when I was in high school and started coaching. I started training children in my parents back yard when I was 16 and quickly realized I wanted to start my own business. I started Tumble with Jen and Cheernastics summer camp when I was 16 years old and in 2009 I opened up Burke’s Tumbling Academy. I always dreamed of owning a gymnastics gym and now we have expanded Burke’s to include a full gymnastics program, along with an amazing kids play space and spin studio. I love teaching and love connecting with my students. Seeing them grow and have success in the gym and in life is what drives me.
I am a proud wife to Rob, and a mommy to three amazing children: Jameson, Bradley and Nicoletta (Lettie). My family, friends, employees and Burke’s family are everything to me and I couldn’t be more excited to take Burke’s to the next level with all of you!
Most of my life has been either working or training in a gym. Sometimes I think I’ve been upside-down more than right-side up! I started my gymnastics training at the YMCA and was a competitive gymnast for 12 years.
I worked at the YMCA gymnastics program for 25+ years and have been with BTA for nearly 10 (Miss Jen was one of my former students)! Although the sport and level of difficulty has changed over time, its been a priority to stay up to date on training techniques, “drills for the skills”, as well as the JO and Xcel gymnastic programs and skill requirements.
I enjoy working with students of all ages and abilities – from beginner to elite tumblers, dancers, cheerleaders and gymnasts! I look forward to the challenges and excitement of building a top gymnastics program where I will share my love for the sport with other aspiring gymnasts! Steve Jobs said it best… “The only way to do great work is to love what you do”. You will see my love and passion for the sport and the kids in every class!
I began teaching at BTA in 2013 and have been involved in gymnastics since 1996 and cheerleading since 2002. As a high school freshman, I cheered for the Swampscott High School Varsity team. I worked hard and trained every day improving my form and skill set. It was my dedication and work ethic that lead to a cheer scholarship at Ole Miss, where I received a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science in 2012.
Gymnastics and cheer are my passion and being able to share my passion with young kids everyday and helping them reach their goals is why I love what I do. I teach all levels of tumbling—from babies to adults. I love mentoring and teaching kids and seeing them grow through our classes!
I am currently in my junior year at NSCC with plans to join the nursing program soon. I have lived in Lynn my entire life and that is where my love for cheerleading began! I started with East Lynn Pop Warner when I was 7 years old as well as with all star cheerleading straight through to high school cheerleading.
I started tumbling and cheerleading at BTA when I was a young girl and I haven’t left since! I went from being a BTA student, learning everything I could from Ms. Jen to coaching cheer and teaching tumbling. The people I get to work with and students I impact make every day enjoyable as I continue to do what I love at BTA. Being able to teach my students what Jen, Julie, and Maddie taught me is something I’m forever grateful for!!
I started cheerleading when I was 8 and instantly fell in love with the sport. I continued cheering through high school and was named captain of the Swampscott team. This was an experience I had been waiting for since the moment I began to cheer.
Cheer has always been a big part of my life and I couldn’t be happier to continue following my passion at BTA. I started training at BTA in high school when it was known as Tumble with Jen. What began as just weekends running birthday parties turned into an everyday love for coaching young cheerleaders, gymnasts and dancers.
As a senior year at Salem State University, I study Exercise Science and continue to work at BTA applying my education to real life experiences. My dream is to promote a healthy lifestyle through healthy eating, exercise, and mindfulness. From the moment I stepped foot in BTA, I immediately felt at home. The atmosphere is so inviting and makes everyone who steps foot in the gym feel part of the family.
I am so excited to be apart of the BTA family. This is my first year teaching at BTA, but I have been a part of the program for 8 years as a mom and then joined the Adult tumbling program a few years ago. I am a former diver and gymnast.
I have a passion for the sport of gymnastics and absolutely love teaching tumbling to our youngest students. In our pre-school classes, we are always having fun, moving, and improving our skills. I live in Marblehead with my husband, three children and dog, Kylie!
